'Grey's Anatomy' Actress AXED! (yahoo.com)

t's true. Sources confirm that Brooke Smith, who plays Dr. Erica Hahn (a doctor who recently realized she is gay), has been axed from Grey's Anatomy. Even more, I'm told by those who work on the ABC series that the gay-themed storylines and gay characters are being downplayed and even erased from upcoming scripts.

Huh? Didn't they make that whole scene about firing Isaiah Washington because he was using gay slurs? This makes no sense it seems like as American takes one step forward we are pulled three steps back.

Maybe it really has nothing to do with the homosexuality angle and instead has to do with her character not fitting in the show? I haven't watched in EONS, but I remember finding it odd that she became a regular...
